  • Today I’m thankful for time.
Perhaps it’s the fact that I turned 50 this year. Or the fact that I watch people aging and “running out of time”— cancel clear! But this year TIME has been on my mind!
50! That’s the number of years I’ve already had on this earth!
I remember when I was a child thinking 50 was ANCIENT! A whole half of a century! Old old! Like if you’ve lived to be 50 you should be thankful you got to be that old, old! Cancel clear!
I mean I remember people who hit 50 and “celebrated” by having an over the hill party! What a sick way to “celebrate”! IMHO
And I thought that when I became 50, I would feel old! UNTIL this year!
This year 50 feels like the new 21 to me!! Like I’m an adult and I get to make choices and I have a long long life ahead of me!
I LOVE being 50! I don’t worry about what people think of me! I’m 50!! I believe I’m vintage! Valuable because I’ve aged — gracefully and beautifully!
I LOVE my gray hair and my wisdom. I believe that makes me the AMAZING woman I am!
I feel YOUNGER now than I did when I was 30! I look younger than I did when I was 35! And I’d like to think people don’t look at me and think I’m old! I’d like to think they view me as fine wine!! Our American society looks at aging as a bad thing! Cancel Clear! Where MOST societies around the world view the aged as wise and listen to their wisdom and advice!
Why? I choose to know! I choose to reverse that thinking! I choose to change MY thinking about those older than myself!
I see others around me who would do anything for more time. Others who have so much wisdom to share and who require more time to do so. I would love to have some magical fairy dust that would do that for them. And I pray for time!
Time is never guaranteed! It’s not a right, it’s a gift!
You see... were all given the gift of time! We all get to choose how we spend that gift.
It’s not the time we have that matters... it’s what we do with our time that matters.
Make the most of the time you have. #yolo #ordoyou
