  • #whole30 day 13. Lunch and dinner. Lunch was a salad with ahi tuna from a new restaurant here in #NewBraunfels . Dinner is sausage and sweet potato. It was just so good last time! I did it a little different this time, I think I like it grated better.

  • Welp. Here’s lunch🤷‍♀️ I know it’s late. I know it’s got sugary fruit in it. My loss of appetite got even worse after breakfast (was a little sick tbh) and continued to dwindle after my anxiety attack. I have a fridge full of leftovers and foods I can make, but this is all that sounded good :-/⁣

    I definitely feel like today was NOT my best day. I stayed compliant though. This juice is carrot, beets (anyone else out there SUPER into beets?! I can’t get enough😂), apple, lemon, celery, maca powder, and a dash of cinnamon. 😊 Again. Not the best choice bc of all the sugar, I know☹️ This picture does not do justice do the magically vibrant pink of the beets!!⁣

    Making a delicious chicken sweet potato chili for din (I think) which will be good! In the meantime, I am going to study for 20 min, enjoy my juice, and keep breathing. Hope you all are having a good Saturday!!⁣ #anxiety #breathe #itsgoingtobeok #gradstudentlife #saturday #celebratesmallsuccess

    I’m still trying to climb out of the spiral🌀🌀🌀🌀 ⁣

    Got dressed. Went to store. Going to make a juice. I am in control🙏🏼 ⁣
    I used to take RX meds daily for my anxiety/depression/OCD. I’ve been off for about 10ish years I think. I manage my symptoms with yoga, meditation, breath work, journaling, herbs, teas, etc... but some days just HAPPEN. And it’s ok! I’m trying not to be bummed. Haven’t had an “off-moment” like I did today in soooo long. But it’s ok!!! ⁣

    I’ll be ok. One moment at a time. Don’t worry until there’s something to worry about. All is well. Etc #mantras #anxiety #realtalk #herbpharm #selectcbd

  • Grass fed beef burger, sauteed riced beets with spinach, steamed brussel sprouts and a sprinkle of sunflower seeds.
    I& #039 ;ve been cooking large batches of these burgers (just plain 90/10 beef from @circlecfarmfl) because they make such a quick and easy dinner after work.... unless, like last night, I accidentally scorch my hand in the skillet instead of the burger! Lesson learned, maybe next time it& #039 ;s 10pm and I& #039 ;m just getting around to dinner, I& #039 ;ll use the microwave to reheat instead of being extra and doing it in the skillet. Haha!

  • Having the best time down in Florida with my mom and @sayates11. We got here this morning and made it to the 🏖 this afternoon. It’s HOT and the water feels like a bathtub and I love it all. I forgot my phone today (on purpose perhaps) but maybe tomorrow I’ll get a gorgeous beach pic. I hope we get to have something delicious like this tomorrow for brunchie. •

  • I was really feeling like scrambled eggs this evening. So, I made a delicious tofu scramble on mashed avocado and Brussels instead. Honestly it was delicious.
    • I added 1 teaspoon of my go-to spice (a mix of curry powder, Turmeric and fenugreek) a teaspoon of mustard, 1 teaspoon of garlic salt, a tablespoon of soy milk to make a sauce.
    • Cook the tofu in a pan with a little olive oil, add the sauce. Stir till sauce is evenly distributed. Cook for around five minutes till tofu is slightly browned.
    • Place on a piece of toast with mashed avocado and sautéed Brussels sprouts.

    Yuuuum 😋 It would make for a perfect breakfast

  • Pioneer Woman& #039 ;s hamburger stew with a few exceptions. I don& #039 ;t use the tomato paste, I don& #039 ;t use any of the spices she recommends and use my own instead. This time I used yellow potatoes instead of the red.

    I also, at the time I ate it, put in a little of Primal Kitchen vegan Ranch and it made it taste so absolutely out of this world.

    I& #039 ;m contemplating making this with chicken leg meat cut up small instead of the ground turkey. I& #039 ;ll probably try that in the next few weeks and see how it goes.
