  • Visited my grandmother with my cousin this morning. She turned 94 two weeks ago!

It was so fun to go with my cousin. It felt like old times. When we were younger we had many, many sleepovers together at my grandmother& #039 ;s house. We& #039 ;d keep track of how many bags we were bringing. (I think our record is 7. For just a night or two 😅). We& #039 ;d re-enact our favourite tv show. Craft our own "magazine". Play games with grandma. Joy.

Grandma has less to say herself these days, but we could tell she was delighting in our trips down memory lane.

Such a gift to have her still with us and to spend this time with her. #blessed

  • Babies can’t move on their own. Duh. You put them down and there they’ll be. And, in our society we overuse containers (strollers, car seats, cribs) to hold our babies, which isn’t very healthy to do as often as we do. Why? It limits the development of their vestibular system, the system that provides us with our sense of balance and spatial awareness. It may be one of the most important sensory systems you have as it is connected to every muscle in your body, controls your sense of balance, your posture, your ability to learn, and your body and movement map

Research shows that babies who have been given regular vestibular stimulation in the earliest years of life, display improved brain and body development

What does this mean for you?
If you are pregnant, move! The vestibular system is the first to develop in utero. Your baby& #039 ;s first sensation is that of your movement! This is one reason why infants LOVE to be bounced or rocked. Maternal movement is a great way to help your fetus get the stimulation it needs. This could mean going for a walk after dinner or taking the stairs at work. You don’t have to go crazy or run a marathon, but stay active. It’s good for your health and your baby’s developing brain

Once you have your baby, babywear.
When you wear your baby your balance, movement, and coordination directly impacts your baby& #039 ;s growing sense of balance, posture, control, and sense of rhythm. How? Any activity that gently and safely rocks, bounces, swings and spins your baby provides him or her with vestibular stimulation. Babywearing is probably one of the easiest, most convenient ways to promote a healthy vestibular system.

  • THIS IS IT! DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

You only get one life, one opportunity and one chance to live as the one of a kind individual you are. No, if’s and’s or but’s. It’s a one-time deal and if it expires – it’s lights out! There are no redos or second chances from the beginning. This is it! While it might sound crude, deep down you know it’s the truth. The question you have to ask is, are you brave enough to follow your heart and reach for the stars?
You either go after your life’s goals full heartedly with hope, faith, and the unshakeable belief you will obtain these dreams, or you do not.
Remember, your next breath is not a guarantee. You may get second chances, but you will never get a second chance at life’s entirety again.
most people get 27,375 days to figure out how to be themselves.
We get about 16,425 days to apply who we are because we spend 10,950 days developing, growing, and mostly learning who we are.
In this one life there are numerous opportunities to courageously show the world how unique, talented, gifted, and incredible you are.
Each year you get 365 days (526,000 minutes) to be you.
Each month you get on average 30 days (43,800 minutes) to be you.
Each week you get 7 days (10,080 minutes) to be you.

Each day you get 1440 minutes to be you.

How much time in your life are you wasting not being you, but hiding?
Many people are imprisoned by bondage, fear, pain, or trauma believing they are unable to leave their locked cell. You hold the key to that cell and can let yourself out if you are willing to develop an invincible and overcomer mindset. It’s your choice.
