- When blessing others and taking care of those in your circle comes natural to you, sometimes it’s hard to understand why other people don’t see things or handle things like you. You have to remember everybody is different. So because the next person doesn’t “return the favor” or bless you the same way you blessed them doesn’t make you better or them worse. Everybody wasn’t raised the same so their outlook may be totally different than yours. What is minor to you might be major to them.
FYI: I’m typing this as I’m having this conversation with myself, but I hope it might help somebody else in the process. 🤷🏿♂️

- The application for civil service recruitment was closed on October 15, attracting more than 3.6 millions applicants from across the archipelago. While seemingly--and indeed--gargantuan in number, it actually fell short of the expected six to eight million applicants. The National Civil Service (BKN) attributed the issue to the nature of millennials who are living in the digital era, with opportunities abound. •
We have heard so many times about how young people nowadays dream about building their own startup or working at some dynamic institution offering global connectivity and exposure. To be a civil servant is oftentimes considered the anti-thesis of what qualifies as a successful millennial, that is, among others, to be a risk-taker and innovator. But there is more to civil service than just a career path, it& #039 ;s about bringing welfare and justice to a society. It& #039 ;s not just about & #039 ;what I do& #039 ; but also & #039 ;how I do it.& #039 ; This premise alone should provide us with an array of choices: one can still be dynamic and global while being a civil servant. Certainly the issues are more of social stigma and bureaucratic impediments than one& #039 ;s willpower. •
Be that as it mau, say that you are given a chance to reform the current civil service system, how would you like it to be? What should be improved? How do you imagine it in the future? •
