  • Look what surprised me in the mail!

I am so thankful for this book to be out in the world soon (starting this Tuesday, November 20th! Which means you still have time to preorder!). @sandrapeoples has been an encouragement to me for many years now and in many ways as a writer, a blogger, a team leader, a person of faith, and a fellow special needs mom (especially those last two). This book is written to encourage special needs families, which Sandra does well with both wisdom and compassion. But it& #039 ;s also for all families to read, to help build bridges of understanding and help all relate to the unexpected in each others& #039 ; lives.

Also, I love reading the acknowledgements in every book I read. They& #039 ;re basically gratitude lists, which are powerful things. And, in special cases like this, I never take it lightly that I get to be involved in the book process in any capacity, especially with friends I admire so much. (Thank you, Sandra, for letting me be a part.) πŸ’•

  • Link in bio to my video talking about the r-word, why I try not to say it, and why I encourage you to think about it before you use it. I’m very passionate about this issue because I have worked with girls with special needs extensively for the last eight years since I founded the Fabulous Flames. You can learn more about the Flames, a cheerleading team for girls with special needs at @fabulousflamescheerleading
