  • Es el deseo que muchos tenemos o hemos tenido en alguna ocasión, con frecuencia sólo desearíamos quitarnos grasa de una zona del cuerpo.


    Existe una clara diferencia en la distribución de la grasa entre hombres y mujeres. •

    Los hombres tienden a depositarla en las zonas centrales del cuerpo, en el abdomen y en la espalda, mientras que en las mujeres se encuentra preferentemente en zonas periféricas (en cadera y muslos).

    • ¿Entonces haciendo ejercicios de abdomen y espalda (para el caso de los hombres), y ejercicios de muslos y cadera (para el caso de las mujeres) provocará una “quema” de grasa en dicha zona específica? •

    Bueno, esto es tan posible como vaciar solo una esquina de una pileta usando un balde de agua, es decir, ¡no es posible!


    Lamento decepcionarte pero el cuerpo no obtiene energía de la zona la cual se esté ejercitando. En realidad no tenemos el control de la zona del cuerpo la cual perderá grasa primero.


    Lo mejor para ver cambios siempre será llevar un estilo da vida sano con ejercicio regular. •

    PD: tampoco funcionan los famosos batidos para “quemar grasa abdominal”, tomar agua tibia con limón en ayunas, entre otros mitos y sin fundamento alguno. •

    Needless to say.. we will now be a sumo puller. 8 weeks into the transition and I’ve already out-pulled my conventional🤷🏻‍♀️

    2nd attempt @ 285 was so speedy I almost lost my balance
    .
    3rd attempt @ 300 was rpe buttery pancakes
    .
    I am MOST EXCITED to see how my deadlift progresses this prep. Eeeee 315 you are definitely mine🙏🙏🙏

    The hardest part of this transition has been honeymoon stage with adductor stuff & being patient off the floor. Once I get it up.. it’s mine because #quads are life

    Real talk. I have been a lot to deal with during the transition because everyone wants to be lifting heavy right??? @damicofitness forced me to keep my percentages low & focus on technique for the first 4-5 weeks. I complained but he stood his ground.

    A little lesson... you are trying to be STRONGEST ON MEET DAY - Not a random Thursday when you’re 10 weeks out. Check your ego at the door and focus on technique because that will take you sooo much further than shitty form with heavy weight 💭

  • What? What?! Are those quads starting to show up?
    Just before my meniscus tear in July, I remember coming out of my 1st #USAPLmn meet. I started to notice that through my frustration with depth issues in #squat , that I wasn’t feeling my glutes out of the hole...AT ALL. So, I started doing some work on my glutes. Slowly I started to feel a little activation, but nothing that would make me more confident in my squat. Then it happened. Felt the pull...pain ensued.. @rejuvmedical Sports and Ortho was next. Long story short, I’m Hamstring dominant with patellofemoral tracking on BOTH needs and it’s caused my quads and glutes to pretty much nap for YEARS. This meant not getting under the bar for the unforeseen future. Let’s just say, I shotgunned a shit ton of Coors Lights and mentally went down a shitty mental hole for about 4 weeks. When I finally got into PT after the 4 week wait, everything changed. All it took was one single session in PT leaving my quads exhausted. BUT I COULD FEEL THEM. I’m a goal driven girl. And this was exactly what I needed. Now I didn’t just want to feel them...I wanted to BUILD them. This screen capture is the small, but still show of progress of those quads building. My deadlift has gained 25lbs for reps in less than a month...and it looks like I may be back under the bar by or before the Jan 1st. Had a great follow up with @joelbaumgartner3557 at Rejuv. Onward and upward and a Deadlift Meet is on the books for Dec 3
