My delicious banana & coconut bread! 👌🏼 Ingredients: *2 medium ripe bananas, mashed *250g wholemeal self raising *100g desiccated coconut *2 eggs *2 tablespoons honey *120ml olive oil *2 teaspoons ground cinnamon *1 teaspoon vanilla paste or extract *1 teaspoons baking powder *Small handful of crushed walnuts and 1 tablespoon of desiccated coconut for decoration Method: 1. Preheat oven to 165C (fan forced) 2. Combine smashed banana, eggs, honey, baking powder, cinnamon, vanilla and oil into a large mixing bowl. 3. Add wholemeal flour and coconut. 4. Mix through until combined. 5. Line a loaf tin with baking paper and spoon mixture into it. 6. Decorate the top of the bread by adding crushed walnuts and coconut. 7. Bake for 1 hour or until the bread has cooked through. 8. Cool completely in the tin before removing. 9. Serve at room temperature or lightly toasted. Client spot light! This is my client hardeep. This in total is about 4 months of Progress, he has now lost almost 15lbs of fat and gained around equal amounts of lean muscle! This is with making gradual dietary adjustment and eating a well balanced diet! We recently changed the focus 2 weeks ago and added a little food to his diet and he& #039;s continuing on gaining strength and muscle while still losing about .5lb of fat every week! The perfect breakfast...Organic Paleo Cereal Mix (ground linseeds, sunflower seeds, almonds, coconut, chia, almond meal, cinnamon) with almond milk, a drizzle of honey and banana. 🍌 And some French press coffee on the side 👌🏽I’ve decided I’m going to experiment with my diet over the next few months, being plant & natural/wholefoods based, I’ve noticed my focus on Macro dieting has led to an imbalance micronutrients and an unhealthy addiction to processed sugar and coffee. For me, this is not sustainable. So I’m bringing it back to basics, focusing on wholefoods and clean eating first to cleanse and detox my body, and then I will figure out the best way to manage my food to be the most beneficial for my body composition. Finally deciding no my to compete again this year has allowed me the time and Headspace to find what works best for me rather than following a coach’s advice that doesn’t necessarily work for me in the long term. I want to find a sustainable way of life that I can keep doing this for the long term. Stay tuned ☺️

Since I’ve been posting a lot of slow versions/variations of exercises, here’s one of the lat pulldown, on the cable machine. Pull and release as slow as you can, and really feel the tension in your lats. Just use a comfortable weight though, as you want your lats to do the pulling, not momentum or your arms! Seated cable rows are one of the best back exercises you can do. For an added challenge, do them really slow, and focus on contracting your inner back and holding the end pull position for a second. You can make your lats help with the pull, to make it a more complete back workout. Remember to keep your back strong and stable, and stop your body from swaying to create momentum and help you with the pull. Eating well and moving our bodies will create change, but only if it& #039;s done on a consistent basis. Do it. Do it again. And again, and then again. Be consistent with your diet, be consistent with your training, be consistent with your efforts. _ 🔑PATIENCE: Change takes time, and often times more time than we would like. Be patient with yourself, and be patient with your body. Good things take time, and it will take time for your body to change. Just as it takes time to gain weight, it also takes time to lose weight. I’ve been the “fat friend”, the “girl with big boobs only cause she’s fat”, the “thick girl”, the “girl who got skinny”, & so much more. Whether those words tore me down or made me smile doesn’t even matter anymore. We’ve all used these phrases in our lives, but All these names made me want to keep changing my body😞 I was “too fat”, then I “lost my boobs”, & of course got the “She’s too skinny” or “She doesn’t eat” comments. It makes me so mad that this is all people focus on, what’s on the outside but not on the inside. My whole life I would let these comments effect me UNTIL... I created my own business, starting focusing on school, focusing on my passions, LOVING MY BODY, finding people with the same purpose in life as me, & growing so much bigger than I even thought I could inside & out! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 I noticed all these amazing things started to happen when I closed out all those words people used to describe me!!!!!! So I stopped being the “fat friend”, the girl “who doesn’t eat”, the “thick girl” & just BECAME ME. I am Jacklyn. & she is determined, strong, loving, passionate, hard working, and a bad ass BITCH 💪🏼 So let’s try this new thing where we stop using people’s looks to define them... This client amazes me more and more every session. When she first started she was the most out of shape client I had ever trained ! We had to start with 2lbs dumbbells because that was all she could lift and here she pressing 25 lbs dumb bells 💪🏾 I promised her to I would get her right and that’s exactly what I did ! Currently working on editing some content for @sophrosyncyycthat @ty.d.wilson & I have worked together to create for you! I will be launching a 4 part series next week on our SophroSYNC Fitness account where we go over how incorporating multiple different types of fitness and wellness modalities you can work on your body as a whole not just in separate parts as we tend to do easily! Everything is so interconnected it’s insane to me when people just look at one aspect of the human body in a treatment setting. There’s so much more we can do for a client regardless of what level they are at if we incorporate and refer to other practitioners and work together to get our clients back to feeling their best. Often times the client has come to seek out MORE. More than just what you can offer them and more knowledge and guidance than they have the resources for on their own.
