  • I wanted to share this easy deviled 😈 egg 🥚 #recipe ❤️❤️❤️which I made with the most gorgeous #local #organic eggs. You might be surprised how quickly we can clear a plate of these in my house 🤣. These are so much fun to do for a party 🎉or just for regular every day! They make fantastic healthy snacks and my kiddos 👫👫 especially love them in their lunch boxes 📦💫
    **********************
    1 dozen eggs hard boiled
    3 tbs avocado mayonnaise @sirkensingtons
    Pinch of sea salt
    Freshly ground black pepper
    1 tbs smoked paprika
Take your cooled hard boiled eggs and slice them in half then remove the yolks and add to a medium sized bowl. Repeat till you’ve done this with all of the eggs. Take the yolks in the bowl and add mayonnaise, sea salt and black pepper. Use a fork to mash till well combined. Place the halved eggs on a plate and you can either use a spoon to add the yolk mixture back or get a little fancy and use a pastry bag with a tip. Either way works! Add approximately 1 tbs of the yolk mixture to each egg. Once you’ve done this with all the eggs. Sprinkle with more sea salt, black pepper and paprika ✨✨✨ @chef_emery Enjoy!👩🏻‍🍳👩🏻‍🍳👩🏻‍🍳oxoxox

  • When it comes to weight loss, choosing healthier foods over processed junk food is always a good idea.

That being said, eating healthy foods doesn’t guarantee that you’ll lose weight. People are often unaware that certain health foods are actually quite high in calories. Keep in mind that your body treats those calories no differently than those coming from junk food; consume too many of them and you won’t lose weight.

Foods like the ones listed above are not only high in calories, but they’re easy to consume and generally have small serving sizes. This means it’s very easy to rack up your calories when eating them since they most likely won’t make you feel very full.

2 tablespoons of olive oil is almost 250 calories
2 tablespoons of peanut butter is 200 calories
Half an avocado - depending on the size - can be 150 calories
A quarter cup of nuts (an extremely small amount) is usually around 200 calories
1 cup of dried fruit can easily be 200 calories
Depending on what you put in them, smoothies can be hundreds of calories per cup.

Since these foods are so easy to consume and are so high in calories, I’d recommend measuring out a serving of each when choosing to eat them. I know it seems like a hassle, but it’s only one more step that should take, at most, additional 30 seconds of your time.

  • Do you think this salad is vegan or paleo?
    ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
    ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You may say “that’s definitely vegan!” or “that& #039 ;s gotta be paleo!”
    ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
    ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
    Here& #039 ;s the answer: IT’S BOTH!
    ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
    ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The reason I did this was for people to truly understand what the main definition of both these lifestyles mean! We argue about which diet is best, not knowing, and dare I say, HAVE SIMILARITIES! Shocker right?
    ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
    ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The MAIN similarity between these popular diets is that they both are geared towards a eating style that includes wholesome, unprocessed foods! But we seem to forget about this!
    ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
    ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The sad reality is that we continually look towards junk food that are considered “healthy”; I’m sorry, but don’t preach to me that you are vegan, while eating oreos, and tell me that its a vegan food so you are eating healthy….
    ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
    ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
    That is bullshit.
    ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
    ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Anyways, whether you chose to go vegan or paleo, the main concept to keep in mind is to do what works for you and cut the processed food out of your diet! You need to understand what works for your body, not what works for someone else!

🕸🇺🇸When you see an old pic 😱 and you’re now far from where you were. I know I’ll never come back to this body as I’ve changed (multiple autoimmune disease and a complete thyroid removal) and it’s OK. My life is now different and all I want is to be able to enjoy every f.. day that I have until the end. Enjoying is not set by a number or amount of weight, income, friends, children made, hours of exercise, diet.
🕸🇺🇸Yet, I’m not saying you should do anything but I’m trying to say that you should do things solely for your well-being and adapted to your situation, your personality and not at the expense of them...
🕸🇺🇸It can be more stressful to try being healthy/wealthy than simply doing things (exercise, job, eating) aligned with our cores values and how you’re feeling. There’s no need to do all trendy activities if it’s not who we are and no need to be at each other throat because they don’t follow same trend.
🕸🇺🇸 Forcing yourself is different than transcend yourself. The latest is motivated by being aligned with your inner values while the other is trying to get to an impossible stable state (like it’s impossible to getting 25 years old back)
🕸🇺🇸It’s never too late to enjoy truly life ! Most part of it consists in finding what you like that’s beneficial for you and go for it ! Whether it’s doing ironman, musculation, stretching, HIIT, calisthenics, cross-fit or walking your dog or reading fantasy or quantum physic books, beauty, cooking, sports, hunting magazines or eating carnivore, vegan, mediterranean, flexidiet or crocheting, embroidery, photography, scrapbooking or volunteering, being self-employed, teleworking, staying at home mom or dad, handworking etc.
🕸🇺🇸Enjoy where you are and go for more 💛🧡❤️💜💙💚
