  • Five years ago this week, I suffered an ectopic pregnancy and had emergency surgery. It was the hardest day of my life and I had so much pain I was already working through having endured a miscarriage earlier that year and months of failed fertility treatments. I wasn’t sure how I’d push through, but I knew I had to try.

After I received the go ahead, we kept trying to conceive only to be disappointed each month. We started our IVF journey with less than great results to the meds, and the recommendation to pass on the retrieval due to what appeared to be a pretty unsuccessful round. Due to the intervention of a nurse who could see my pain and sadness, another more positive recommendation was made and we progressed with the round of IVF with a goal of “storing” the eggs that were retrieved.
Here we are, almost four years later, and this strong little spirfire is the outcome of that trying time. I would go through it all again to have her. God gave me a journey he knew I could handle and this little love was my reward. She doesn’t erase the pain I felt. I haven’t forgotten the feeling of loss. But my journey through infertility has made me who I am. It’s a part of me. I am a stronger woman because of it. I am enough the way I am.
And my little lady is going to be FOUR soon! She’s super smart, funny, fiercely independent and a little piece of both her mommy and her daddy! She loves her brothers, is obsessed with her doggies and is on a first name basis with most of the Wegmans and Target staff 😂😂😂 If you want to hear her life story, or need a hug she will be happy to help!! I thank God everyday for this little babe and her brothers. I’ve been through a lot but I have received so many blessings. My heart is full!! 💗💗

  • I was listening to a podcast by @msrachelhollis yesterday as she’s discussed the topic of relationships. ⁣

She asked the question “is this the person you want to be next to in the foxhole?”⁣

Meaning, is this the person you can see supporting you when the sh*t hits the fan. And vice versa. Is this the person you want next to you to support you & you to support them when life gets real?⁣

I’m thankful to have found my partner to walk this life & weather the storm together, even when we have to huddle in the foxhole. ⁣

Tell me, what’s your favorite quality of your person? What’s the one thing that can always put a smile on your face? I’ll go first in the comments 👇🏻👇🏻

  • It’s about the small progress, day by day.
There can be highs and there can be lows... but I’ll reach my goal, by walking my own path!!!
Love life and every challenge that cross my road!!! #mypathtohealth #lovelife
Behalve burpees, they still kill me😂🤣 but I do them anyway💪👊🏻 #happyhealthylife #results

  • “Not all who wander are lost.” J.R.R. Tolkien ⠀

Do you ever feel like you’re “wandering?” I joke that my mind has Wanderlust—some days it won’t stay with me to save my life. Or maybe it’s your soul; you feel like you’re just “here.” Surviving but not thriving. ⠀

    It’s ok. ⠀

Flowers wilt, trees lose their leaves, and even Mother Nature herself goes into survival mode, only to THRIVE a few months later. Maybe your life is in springtime. Maybe you’re somewhere between autumn and winter. ⠀

It’s ok. Be where you are now. 🌸

  • How do you get ready for your weekend? We meal prep.🥕🥒🍏⠀
    .⠀
Weekends are usually where I end up getting off track. Not just having pizza, but eating that along with cookies, pop, candy, and the list goes on. 🍕🍪 Then I feel like complete crap and by the time Monday rolls around I feel like I failed and usually continue to eat unhealthy. Then once I get myself back on track, it’s the weekend again. 🤦🏼‍♀️⠀
    .⠀
Having healthy snacks all ready and easy to grab makes it less likely for me to dive into all the sweets and junk food! I still satisfy my cravings, but in moderation. 🍪⠀
    .⠀
When I started coaching I didn’t realize how much it would help motivate me to make health and fitness apart of my EVERYDAY lifestyle...not just during the week. If you want to make a change and keep progressing towards your goals then don’t throw all your hard work out just because it’s the weekend. ❤️⠀
    .⠀
And if you can’t tell, Chase wasn’t a fan of peaches! 🍑

  • “When did you stop caring what other people think?” 😳
    .
I’ve been asked this question A L O T. And I usually come up with something like “I don’t know, I’ve always been this way!” OR “girllll when have I ever cared is the better question!” .
But the more I’m asked it, the more I reflect. And then this morning, as I’m reading my devotional, it clicked for me. .
I don’t want to pretend like I’ve never cared what people thought or that I didn’t need other people’s approval. But, for the most part, I’ve always been very much aware of who I am and I’ve been okay with it. .
And when I did seek approval, it was moreso for people to be happy for me with what I was already comfortable doing. .
Essentially, I liked what I liked. I did what I wanted. I wasn’t going to alter my happiness to fit someone else’s idea of “cool” or “normal” or “right.” 💁🏻‍♀️
    .
But, in making those decisions, I always hoped that people, especially the ones who meant the most to me, would be supportive of me. .
But as I’ve gotten older, I’ve sort of just stopped caring about that too. Because the people who matter ARE supportive. The people who I want surrounding me are the ones who DO encourage me and accept me for who I am. 💕
    .
And OF COURSE there are people who don’t. There are people who can’t handle me, who don’t agree with my lifestyle, who don’t approve of who I am — and OF COURSE that’s a bummer.
    .
But, at the end of the day, those people don’t pay my bills. Those people aren’t contributing to my life in a positive way, if at all. Those people’s approval doesn’t matter. 🤷🏻‍♀️
    .
What matters is if I approve. If I love myself. If I’m proud of the woman staring back at me in the mirror. If I can go to bed each night and be confident in the person I am. .
In a song I wrote many years ago, my favorite line still rings true: “be who you are, believe in yourself.” .
And that goes perfectly with the ending line of my devotional: “You are accepted by God. Accept you too.”
    .
So to answer, I guess I’ve always been comfortable in my own skin and didn’t need other people’s approval to feel it. 😉
    .
And just so we’re clear — YOU don’t either! 😘

  • Have you tried a diet and failed? Feeling hopeless like nothing works for you and it’s too much of a struggle? Guess what,95% of people who start a diet fail within the first few weeks. MOST diets deprive you nutritionally, lower your energy, create stress, tension and are not SUSTAINABLE for long term! Only 1% of people whose lives are dedicated to their physical condition can follow a diet or strict meal plan. And that’s only for maybe a max of 12 - 16 weeks a year. Most diets cause major long term health issues and people reverse from them back to where they were or even worse off.
Those who are fit all year around live a LIFESTYLE and a BALANCED one. EVERYBODY is different and reacts to different nutrition as well so trying 1 thing or the same thing as everyone else potentially isn& #039 ;t for you. You do not have to give up all your favourite treats and the food you enjoy. With some patience, consistency and time to find the balance, You have the chance to be healthy, fit, confident and self loving.
The happiest, healthiest people live a healthy LIFESTYLE and that’s what I specialise in. Creating long term sustainability for everyone as an individual to suit your needs, wants and environment. It’s never too late and there is a solution for everyone!

  • You need protein. Period.

Here are 4 short and sweet reasons why.

But first, remember protein is the building block for nearly everything in your body bones, muscles, cartilage, skin, and blood.
    .
    .
    1. ➡️Needed for lean muscle mass. Why does this matter? Because it will allow you to be active keep up with your kids. Also, the more lean mass you have aka muscles - the more calories you burn at rest. Which means as long as you are not overeating, eating the right amount of protein will help you lose fat.

    2. ➡️It keeps you full longer. Protein is satiating meaning it keeps you feeling fuller longer. Why is this important? Well I don’t know if your like me but I don’t like feeling hungry. It side tracks my thoughts and keeps me off my game.

    3. ➡️Keeps your bones strong. To put it simply, strong muscles require strong bones. And strong bones are a great way get stronger now and also fight off osteoporosis later in life. Side note, your bones are made up of roughly half protein. And don’t forget you also need calcium help harden your bones so be sure eat lots of leafy greens.

    4. ➡️Beautiful hair, skin and nails. Sure this might sound like vanity to some but it& #039 ;s honestly the outcome of a great diet, including one that is rich in quality whole foods and includes enough protein. And who doesn’t want to radiate health
    .
    ➡️Recommendations:

    Eat protein with every meal.

How much protein you need depends on your goals, but the range of 0.8-1.5 per pound of body weight works for most people.

On the average, I recommend 1 palm sized portion per meal for women and 2 for men. Palm sized looks like about 3-4 oz.
    .
    .
Have any questions about protein or how it can help you?

Send me a DM - you have no idea how much I love talking about foooooood.

How much protein you need depends on your goals, but the range of 0.8-1.5 per pound of body weight works for most people.

On the average, I recommend 1 palm sized portion per meal for women and 2 for men. Palm sized looks like about 3-4 oz.
