    It’s so easy to look around at what everyone else is doing and I tell you, no matter how much you sweat, there’s always going somebody who’s slimmer, fitter, more toned than you! It’s a fruitless waste of energy 🤷🏻‍♀️

    I’ve injured myself so many times by not listening to my body and pushing through the pain to stick to my workout goals.

    Tuning into my exercise motivation this morning - it’s all about being well, feeling strong and shiny on the inside, raising the vibes and honouring the body that is carrying me through this life’s journey.

She has even created a helpful Indian ceremony wedding guide to teach our team - a digital guide that our couples love as well!

  • I’ve come to the conclusion that I constantly over complicate things that can be so easy. How ‘bout you?⠀

    Nutrition is simple and there are a lot of ways to pursue healthy options. Today, I was reviewing the meal plan outline for the program I am following with my brother and I absolutely loved what my virtual trainer had to say- ⠀
    ^⠀
    “The best thing to do is keep it real and keep it simple,” Shaun T. It made me think about all the different things I have tried in the past. I know that my body responded well when I went paleo, used timed-nutrition and followed portions. I know that my body did not enjoy trying to add seafood into my diet or emotional binge eating...⠀

    These days I haven’t been following a designated plan. I’ve been sticking to adding veggies to my plate as much as possible and I am okay knowing that this is good enough for my goals. My goals have changed over time and right now I am maintaining the progress I made using the above mentioned strategies. ⠀
    ^⠀
    No one thing is going to work for everyone. So why not try out a few and find what speaks to you!

  • I had someone post under my transformation picture that I should "go eat a cheeseburger." At first, I was a little hurt. Then kinda flattered she thought I looked like I didn& #039 ;t just eat my body weight in food at Epcot 😂😂 But in all seriousness, the comment makes me sad for a couple reasons. #1 why do people feel the need to put others down? The way someone interprets your journey, your body, your life is none of your business 😘

    #2 (and this upsets me the most).. why does society automatically assume that those who have lost weight starve themselves? Is it SO out of the norm these days that people live healthy lives by simply eating clean 80% of the time and working out? Why do peoples minds go to deprivation when they see someone who& #039 ;s "fit"? It disturbs me that this is what the world has come to... wraps, pills, fasting, crash diets, and detoxes to get those fast and dramatic results.

    It took me a year and a half to get to this point physically, and I& #039 ;m so grateful for it. Because if I had completely given up pizza nights with my family and said no all the time to the food I love, I& #039 ;d never be here. It would& #039 ;ve been too unrealistic & hard to continue past a couple weeks. Had I not had a community of women & mamas to do this with, I would& #039 ;ve felt isolated and unsupported. I would& #039 ;ve let these comments get to me. And if it hadn& #039 ;t taken me this long to heal myself emotionally, I wouldn& #039 ;t be this freaking happy & confident 💗

    My biggest point is this- to become happy & healthy, you have to stop trying to be perfect. Stop waiting for the right time. Stop depriving yourself and expecting long term results. Stop letting people put you down or tell you that you won& #039 ;t be able to do it. Make the decision you are going to work at it a little at a time, surround yourself with supportive people, and ignore those who make you feel guilty for taking care of yourself. Besides, if we don& #039 ;t have our health & happiness, what do we have? 💕

    And if you want to do this happily while crushing those new year goals, you know where to find me... I& #039 ;ll be the girl treating myself to another cheeseburger this weekend 😘

    But the problem with this is that THERE isn’t actually where we find happiness. Happiness is found inside of us in the big and small moments of our lives each and every day. Happiness is something we choose to create. It’s a mindset we choose to adopt. That’s why many rich, famous, and successful people will tell you that money and success don’t necessarily make you happy. So many people finish 1 or 2 years in a major and realize they actually hate what they are doing. Instead of having to go through the hassle of changing your major, take 1 semester at the beginning of your college career to explore all of the different options. #takethetime #findinghappinessinschool #happinessproject

  • Did you know that eating healthy doesn& #039 ;t have to be boring?? This is one of my favorite go to meals! It became my daily lunch when i was doing my 80 day challenge at the begining of the year and i still love it.
    Cheese is the only thing not on that particular meal plan. I actually got used to not adding cheese to my eggs. Today is the first time in a whole year i added it. 💚 veggies (i used spinach, zucchini, mushroom, and red pepper)
    ❤ protein 2 eggs
    cooked in coconut oil
    seasoned with "everything but the bagel" and siracha
    If you are interested in learning more about how i portion my meals I& #039 ;d love to chat😃

  • It’s been so dead and dreary outside, and it’s definitely put me in a MOOD lately. But I refuse to let that keep me down. Today I made a list of why I’m feeling so gloomy, and then next to each culprit, I put an arrow pointing to a way that I can fix it. I now have a list of goals for the rest of the week on how to stay happy and on top of everything I have to do. I’m also blasting some Selena Gomez and eating peanut butter... what do you do to lift your spirits when ya get down?? 🍯

    It is quite easy to get out of tune and allow distractions and negativity to overshadow the truth. How often do you practice creating space for the act of listening?? ⠀
    ^⠀
    I know it’s hard. I am horrible at it. I look at the clock and half the day is gone and I have forgotten to eat. The hunger and thirst responses get mixed up all the time because I forget to carry a water bottle around at times. I overcommit to volunteer projects because I always want to lend a helping hand and then I turn around and my own life is in chaos. The vicious voice in my head that creeps in when I am no regularly reading my motivational books- it tells me I am not good enough, I am unworthy and unlovable. ⠀

    Setting loving boundaries around food, alarms to gently remind me about meals and water, saying no to some things is opening up space to say yes to others, and rejecting the lies from the enemy. Making it a non-negotiable to learn how to listen to what I need in order to be more present in the life I am living with all of you- These are small ways that self-love is made present. ⠀

    It doesn’t have to be bubble baths and massages. It can be the simple act of listening to what you truly need 💕 ⠀
