  • Self Myofascial Release using a Foam Roller: There are differing opinions regarding myofacial release: what it& #039 ;s good for and when it should be done. I am a fan of doing it before a workout to get things loosened up and/or on a daily basis to eliminate body soreness.
    For example, I find the choices in these videos help if I& #039 ;m experiencing tightness in my lower back. Muscles in our upper legs connect to the pelvis. If they are tight, they pull on the pelvis causing discomfort.

    I& #039 ;m not claiming that myofacial release solves the problem but it can offer relief. It& #039 ;s important to know your body and its imbalances. Correct those imbalances through strengthening and stretching. Myofascial release is a tool that can help facilitate that balance.
    When using a foam roller, never push to the point of pain. At that point, the body will not receive the benefits. There will be times that it is uncomfortable. Know the difference.

    Thursdays mean 1 thing #skierg 10k.
    Knocked 22 seconds off again, slowly but surely moving towards the magical 40 minute mark.

    Im not convinced I& #039 ;ll ever get there but we all need aims and goals and sometimes the journey is the best part, Seeing improvements and changes.

    Anybody who knows me knows a year ago i had never touched a skierg and only really trained HIIT so the prospect of spending 42 minutes on one of the most brutal cardio machines never entered my head.

    Its always good to go out of your comfort zone, training different energy systems.

  • The industry is moving more towards group training. I want to be one of the catalysts of that movement. It’s affordable and you still get the attention you need to be successful in the gym. I started out doing “beast Camp” but realized what i was offering was much more than a typical boot camp with a mat and dumbbells. Group Of Gainz was birth when I realized the components I was utilizing resembled group training. If you want to join an already made group or have a group of your own that would like to invest in their health and wellness. Let’s get started.
