Sometimes when my veteran lifters are looking for a little extra “fun” with the pain, we work together! Yesterday @tahasfitnessand I got after it with a beast push workout. Having a spot also meant I got to do some heavy forced reps too, which is RARE. But I’m happy to take advantage ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ’ช. All in all, it is extremely cool to see clients grow and develop over time. @tahasfitnesshas changed so much since we very first started. As a martial artist I’m constantly transforming my weightlifting workouts into movements that enhance and accentuate my martial arts skills and this is a perfect example. Would you punch with both hands at the same time? I perform single arm dumbbell press so as to mimic a jab by pushing the weight the same way I would snap a jab, are you guys flowing with me? This is a great workout to enhance your punching and pushing from the bottom when grappling, this is also a fantastic way to build deltoids strength and build a bigger chest fast. Tweak the form so as to hit what you need. How can I kick him out of the box when he looks so cute ๐Ÿ˜ luckily I was on my last round when he got up @streetparkingmemberstry to do the whole switch in the top instead of bringing the Dumbbell all the way to the floor like @009julian said but boy was that hard! That #35 db was tough! 12 x 40kg EZ bar wide grip upright rows from yesterday’s shoulder workout. Leaning over a little to hit the side and rear delts more. — Shoulders have always been my weakest body part, especially rear delts, so I’m making a conscious effort to focus on getting them to grow well ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ — Happy with progress so far, it’ll be 11 weeks back at the gym on Friday, I’ve leaned up a little and added muscle, so the plan has been executed well. As promised here is a new dumbbell workout ๐Ÿ’ช This workout works the whole body - with particular focus on the core. ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป Dumbbells are a great piece of equipment - they require very little space (for home workouts), can be used for a variety of movements, and enable progression options (e.g. increasing the weight). Dumbbells enable you to move each side individually - this means that each side will lift an equal amount of weight as opposed to a barbell where your stronger side may naturally take over - therefore they help identify/prevent strength and muscle imbalances ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป Try this workout, choosing a weight that you can complete the movements unbroken. I can definitely tell that I am getting stronger by the days. Those things aren’t light, at a least not to me. Eating these extra plates are really helping me bulk up. Then putting those extra calories in the gym. Much credit to my gainz goes to @familyandmusclewithout him none of this would and will be achievable. Instead of doing your usual dumbbell chest presses, alternate reps between a normal one and a really slow one. Even for the slow rep, try your best to let your chest/pecs do the work, leaving your shoulders and arms out of it as much as possible. After 6-8 reps each, don’t rest, pick a lower weight and do a set again!
