  • To be RIGHT, to do things "the right way," is to carry a shield.

    To not look like an idiot.
    To fit in, to belong.
    To be safe (and not just physically).
    .
    But the "right way" is singular.
    .
    And the moment you decide to become so narrowly focused on THE ONE RIGHT WAY is the moment you create your blind spot, a weakness, and close off all other possibilities.

    The body is made to adapt, to move, to have an answer for any situation.

    Being in a burning building is only a problem if there& #039 ;s no way out. .
    Gimme a door or two, problem solved. 👌

    Don& #039 ;t pigeon hole yourself. That& #039 ;s an injury waiting to happen.

    You WANT options, so you gotta do it all.

    Warmups are my favorite time for experimenting because the quality of the work that follows lets me know if I& #039 ;m onto something or wasting time.

    I started doing this weird seated windmill press before all forms of pressing, and the rib rotation grants me that much more trunk stability as I reach failure at the top.
    .
    If you& #039 ;ve got a "weak arm" I bet what you& #039 ;ve really found is a weak set of ribs that don& #039 ;t know how to rotate.
    .
    My pressing has never felt better thanks to movements like this.

    If you& #039 ;re still concerned about doing things the RIGHT way, you might consider coloring outside the lines a bit.
