  • So like m actually fine with being single atm, but my friend told me about this guy that wants her and that she doesn’t want him and I jokingly said tell him to hit me up. So she told him that I liked him, tbh I had no problem talking with him but I don’t want anything real. Of course this guy is super nice and I have only caught feelings once, but now I can see my self catching feelings but I don’t want to be a thing with him cuz I don’t see him in my future , but I am slowly catching feelings

    -Weight: 73.6kg / 162.3lbs (-2.4kg / 5.3lbs)
    -Bodyfat (percentage): 26.2% (-0.3%)
    -Bodyfat (weight): 19.3kg / 42.5lbs (-0.8kg / 1.8lbs)
    -BMI 21.7 (-0.7)

    Today was not that great. I managed not to eat anything else apart from my plan and resisted the urge to binge on the cake I made for a friends birthday. But other than that my day wasn& #039 ;t that good. I felt very dizzy on my way home from school so I didn& #039 ;t do any more exercise. Also my parents are being super souspicious. I have a ton of work to do for school but don& #039 ;t have the energy to do any of it.
    I mean even art class sucked today... Well, let& #039 ;s just hope tomorrow is better.

    Food intake:
    -1 liter of applejuice (2 bottles of the pictured one) -> 260cal
    -4 liters water (Once again did it!)
    Exercise:
    -30min easy biking -> -150cal
    Net cal:
    260-150=110

  • I& #039 ;ve worked mostly from home for the last two years, except for a couple of very unfortunate weeks earlier this year. Honestly, the thought of working outside of my apartment scares the shit out of me. I feel panic attacks coming on just talking about it. But I know it& #039 ;s something I& #039 ;m gonna have to do. I& #039 ;ve never been the kind of person to ask for coddling, but I wish workplaces did a better job at assisting employees with mental health issues, or at least paid them enough to deal with it on their own. To date, just about every job I& #039 ;ve had has ended with me leaving because of an intense panic attack. I guess it& #039 ;s up to me to navigate this myself and figure out how to function in society without feeling dread every time I walk into work.

    As an employee, a business person, a partner, a homemaker, a carer or a parent, it can often feel impossible to have any time left over for you.

    However, we also can& #039 ;t pour from an empty cup! A lot of my wonderful clients often talk about losing their identity in a sea of family chores and daily tasks, I always encourage them to think back to what they used to enjoy, what inspires them, and what relaxes them. 💜
    Self care, in my opinion, is a vital part of recharging your batteries so that you don& #039 ;t have to keep running on empty!

    Self care isn& #039 ;t always trips to the spa or a nice long getaway! For those of us with a jam packed diary (and perhaps a not so packed wallet 😂👌) , it can be something as simple as reading a book, lighting some candles whilst you relax on the sofa, doing a facemask or painting your nails. It could even be something active, such as a run or lifting some weights...
    Something to do just for YOU.

    MAKING time to reset, refuel, recouperate and replenish. Self care is not selfish!

    Today& #039 ;s self care for me was a 20 minute Mindful yoga session, which relieved some anxious thoughts and left me feeling much more positive about the day ahead.

    Я буду изучать генетические причины депрессии. Нельзя сказать, что депрессия на все 100% наследственное заболевание. Но есть основания полагать, что вызывающие депрессию биохимические нарушения в работе нервных клеток связаны с определенными вариантами генов. Большинство этих генов кодируют белки, вовлеченные в обмен серотонина, дофамина, норадреналина и некоторых других веществ.
    Чтобы найти варианты генов, которые часто встречаются у больных с депрессией и редко у здоровых людей, мы будем сравнивать ДНК обеих групп. А еще мы изучим образцы ДНК пациентов, совершивших суицид.
    Мы хотим собрать больше данных о наследственных факторах депрессии. Эта информация может быть полезна для разработки методов более точной диагностики и более индивидуального лечения депрессии, особенно у пациентов, которым не помогают никакие современные антидепрессанты.

    I will research genetic causes of depression. Depression is not only hereditary disease. But there is evidence that disorders in certain chemical processes in nerve cells causing depression may be determined with certain gene variants. Most of these genes encode proteins responsible for the metabolism of serotonin, dopamine, noradrenaline and some other substances.
    In order to find gene variants more common for people suffering from depressive disorders and less common for the healthy ones, we will compare the DNA of both groups. We also will investigate DNA samples from suicide victims.

    Our research will help to gather enough data about hereditary factors for depression. It is necessary for more accurate diagnostics and more precise treatment methods, especially for those patients who can& #039 ;t be cured with modern antidepressants.
