I remember back in the day when I’d stare in the mirror wondering when I’d have abs and biceps (which I still lack to this day lol). Turns out having muscle is worth fuck all, but the process getting them was and still is priceless. It was the process that helped me be less of a shit lad and more of the one I kinda like. I know this sounds all dramatic when all it is, is a dude going to the gym over and over, but if you zoom out far enough pretty much everything becomes insignificant. So I suppose you just have to find a process you are engaged with. This is mine...for now.

#dips 🔝 The two most common errors in performing dips involve the completeness of the movement. ▫ Most people, when not being yelled at about it, will cut the depth off above parallel. They do this because it is easier to do a partial dip than a full dip, just as it& #039;s easier to do a partial squat than a full squat. A partial dip does not carry the injury potential that a partial squat does. But partial dips are not as valuable as deep dips for the same reason that half-squats are less than adequate: they work less muscle mass. If you go to the trouble of loading a dip belt to do the exercise weighted, and then cheat the depth, you are just wasting training time and kidding yourself about how strong you are, just like when you cheat any other exercise. Do your dips deep, with a lighter weight if necessary, so you don& #039;t miss the actual benefit. ▫ The other problem is a failure to lock out the elbows at the top between reps. This is not the heinous crime that cutting off the depth is, because it is usually unintentional. Tired triceps don& #039;t always know they are not completely contracted. The chest-up position at the finish helps cue the elbow lockout because it pulls the mass of the upper part of the torso behind the hands so that the triceps can extend the elbows against a more evenly distributed load. ▫ Are dips incorporated in your current split❓ ▫ Follow ➡️ @performante.fitness ▫ ▫

••|TransMORPHation Tuesday ⠀ Year 1 (110lbs) Year 3 (132lbs) Year 8 (153lbs) 💕🦄✨ ⠀ ⠀ Weight training has been the bestest teacher for me 💖It’s taught me disciple, humility, patience, hard work, consistency, determination, breaking through mental and physical paradigms, goal setting, how to be present in the moment, how to desire more (and execute with intention), how to embrace pain and failure, how to allow growth. It’s been the foundation of allowing me to level up to my best, highest self. ⠀ I often wonder what the heck my life would look like if I didn’t start this journey? It’s damn near impossible to imagine but I truly feel like I would never have evolved into the person I am without it. ⠀ So yeah, having muscles are cool. Looking “sexy and fit” is neat for a hot minute. But the life lessons, the person you become.... it’s the best gift you can ever give to yourself 💕 I workout because I love myself and who I am when I take care of myself. Weight training has been the bestest teacher for me 💖It’s taught me disciple, humility, patience, hard work, consistency, determination, breaking through mental and physical paradigms, goal setting, how to be present in the moment, how to desire more (and execute with intention), how to embrace pain and failure, how to allow growth. It’s been the foundation of allowing me to level up to my best, highest self.

I often wonder what the heck my life would look like if I didn’t start this journey? It’s damn near impossible to imagine but I truly feel like I would never have evolved into the person I am without it.

So yeah, having muscles are cool. Looking “sexy and fit” is neat for a hot minute. But the life lessons, the person you become.... it’s the best gift you can ever give to yourself 💕 I workout because I love myself and who I am when I take care of myself. I can give back so much more!!!!

Macronutrientes❤ y micronutrientes⚡ . . Tal vez varios de ustedes pensaban que era la misma cosa🤔 o puede ser que no sepan con exactitud la diferencia🤷🏽‍♀️ . . Sea lo que sea, aquí está la respuesta😜 . . Los macronutrientes o "macros" son los que aportan energía a nuestro cuerpo✔ . . Se consideran dique full esenciales los carbohidratos (🍚arroz, 🥔papa, etc.), proteínas (🍙soya, carnes de origen animal, etc.) y lípidos (🍵aceite de oliva, 🥥de coco, etc.). . . Los micronutrientes o "micros" (como lo dice esa "i" poniendolo chiquitico) son sustancias que NECESITAMOS en pequeñas dosis (hierro, yodo, zinc, manganeso, vitaminas, etc.)✔ . . A diferencia de los macros, los micros 🚫NO aportan energía PERO tienen su función bien pue& #039;ta✔ . . ¿Por qué?🤷🏽‍♀️ . . Son indispensables para nuestro organismo y sin ellas podríamos morir😭 . . Inventa ahí. . . Si yo tengo un plato que contiene 🍚arroz, un chin de 🥑aguacate, 🥔carne de soya y ensalada de 🥦espinacas y una 🍎manzana como postre porque ahá... puedo decir, entonces que, el 🍚arroz va a venir siendo mi CARBOHIDRATO, la tajada de 🥑aguacate mi LÍPIDO, la 🥔carne de soya mi PROTEÍNA y mi ensaladita de 🥦espinacas me va a aportar micronutrientes como calcio, hierro, potasio, etc. . . y mi 🍎manzana me va a aportar vitaminas como A, C, etc. . . Entonces, si TÚ tienes un plato que contiene 🥕Yuca, 🥚huevo, 🥦ensalada de brócoli y 1 🍊naranja de postre, ¿sabrías clasificar los Macros y Micros del plato?🤔 . .
