  • I& #039 ;m not perfect. I& #039 ;m still learning.

I& #039 ;ve perfected a lot of things so far.
I trained myself in positive thinking, discovered my purpose, overcame Anxiety, OCD and PND, navigated entrepreneurship, and learned to stay calm in the chaos of young kids. I mastered my mindset, and I learned the art of manifestation.

    But I& #039 ;m not perfect.
Truth is, I& #039 ;m not so great at self-care.

I& #039 ;ve just booked to have my *first ever* massage on Friday. I went to my *second ever* yoga class last week. These things have been on my "to do" list forever. I knew they would nourish me, help me into alignment and take me to the next level. I knew they would have a positive impact on my life.

And yet...for so long, I didn& #039 ;t do them. I was always "going to", but I was super vague about WHEN. They certainly weren& #039 ;t marked on my calendar for anytime soon. I would change my life at "some point" in future. Why was I waiting to make positive change?

It& #039 ;s ironic because this is my specialty. I help women make change, take leaps and start living a life of joy and abundance! And yet I kept putting off making these particular changes in my life... I& #039 ;ve long been this way with new things. I& #039 ;m inclined toward introversion, and I have experienced anxiety. Sometimes I do things slowly. Some new things take me a while to try.

That& #039 ;s okay. It& #039 ;s okay to focus on one thing at a time. Self-care is the next area I am perfecting. I& #039 ;m setting the intention to make this my next area of growth ✨

Today, I took my own advice. I took the leap and booked my first ever massage. It& #039 ;s kind of crazy to wait to make *positive change*, isn& #039 ;t it? And yet we all do it.

Darling, don& #039 ;t wait to start living your life. Life is happening NOW, all around you. If there& #039 ;s something you want to do, do it! If there& #039 ;s a version of you that you want to be, be her!

It& #039 ;s the little things that change your day. It& #039 ;s the little things that change who you are. It& #039 ;s the little things that CHANGE YOUR LIFE.

What positive change have you been putting off? Whatever it is, you are ready. Your time is NOW.

  • C E R R O M E S A // on the last day before leaving, what& #039 ;s more to do than climb the tallest peak allowed on bikes? It was disappointingly overcast when we reached to top, but when we explored around the corner, I& #039 ;d never thought I& #039 ;d face green pastures where I& #039 ;d rested that Sunday. #thankful
Swipe 👉🏽 for videos of the descending journey, include clearing a road of sheep. Someday, I& #039 ;ll be back. 😁

  • PINCHA TIPS〰️
    This is my nemesis.
I am not sure for how many years I have been practising it, on a off - maybe 5? Definitely since I’ve lived in London and discovered Vinyasa Flow.
    I absolutely love this pose.
    And hate.
I feel equally strong and vulnerable practising it.
Some days I am super wobbly.
Others I manage to catch some stillness.
Some days I am there, others I am somewhere else.
Here are my top pincha tips, having in mind I don’t have huge arms nor massive muscles.
    1. Start small. Like any other inversion. Get your hamstrings flexible with your sun salutations and vinyasas.
    3. Do not use a wall. Try with a block - or a book - between your hands. It will give you mental focus and power.
    4. Use and abuse from your ujjayi. Loud is good. Tribal works even better for me.
    5. Play with your shoulder and hands width. I was told not to bring my hands close but my body does it naturally. Don’t fight your body.
    6. Learn to fall. You know why, right? Yup, you will fall.
    7. Try out different variations. One leg up, other leg up, half-splits, #scorpio - ooh I love this one.
    8. Get your core stable - all those planks and chaturangas. Keep bringing your attention back to your uddyiana bandha aka squeeze your diafragm. It does magic to your inversions.
    9. Have fun. Have fun. Have fun.
    I hope this helps sweet @yogabylaura .
And you guys, any other tips on pincha?
And any other pose you want me to guide you through?
Have the best saturday, xuxus. And excuse my home video🌿

  • Im still seeing people use this wrong, and from years of working at a hospital, I can tell you if you use this incorrectly, it’s pretty worthless. In a hospital, you get tested every year to make sure you get a good seal. Please take care of those awesome lungs you have!! Take it from us medical folks who’ve watched countless people with respiratory diseases fight for every breath. As I’m sure you know, mostly just stay inside, but if you’re outside for any extended length of time...
-Watch a video on how to seal you’re particular mask, a little technique makes a difference with how you seal it around the nose
-Surgical masks are a waste on every level, and your handkerchief, sorry
-If you have facial hair, like five days growth on me(which is pathetic😆) they won’t even test you in the hospital, it’s an automatic fail
-so if you have a beard it’s def not working
-Man I feel for you parents out there! Masks are a pain in the neck as is!! But again, mostly just stay indoors for a bit longer, this will pass!
