Quick tip: a person is 40% stronger on the eccentric (negative) part of the movement, so do not simply finish the set when you reach concentric failure (positive), instead i recommend to cheat a little just to get the weight up, have a very slow and controlled negative (about 4+ seconds) and do as many reps as possible until you reach eccentric failure. Negatives create a lot of muscle damage, one of the three factors of hypertrophy. Progressive Overload on the Bench Press 90kg x 4 🤜🏻 . I have only recently started incorporating flat barbell bench press, after not performing this exercise for over 18 months. It has always been a weak point of mine, now during my offseason I am focusing on build my strength up! . I’ll be documenting my progression on some key lifts to keep myself accountable & looks forward to making some gains 🏋🏻‍♂️

When the tippity top of your quad starts poppin’ 🍗🍑 . . I’ve been hitting legs at least twice a week - one is quad/glute focused and the other is ham/glute focused. Each week I switch it up going from higher reps, next week I’ll go heavy. Always necessary to switch it up! The muscles have to WAKE UP! 💪🏼👌🏼 . . Warm up: SS body weight squats // goblet squats 3x15 Workout: 1. Smith machine close stance squats 3x13 2. Smith machine calf raises 3x15 3. Bulgarian split squats 3x12 each leg 4. “Working glutes from all angles for that bubble butt effect🌏🌍 I think you will like the burn🔥 through out this whole workout! I get asked a lot how I keep the bar from not locking when I do the smith machine Glute pump. I will do a separate video from start to finish. Also a close up of feet positioning.. It works great and never locks on me I& #039;m guessing because of the way I position my feet. I angle them outward. 👉🏽TAG a friend who’s trying to build a Gorilla chest and try chest blaster routine during your next workout!🦍 🔥Resistance DB incline presses🔥 - Use a resistance band that’s between 10-20lbs in strength and wrap it around the bench and then around the dumbbell. - When performing exercise focused on keeping your chest up at all times and core tight and engage. - This routine will consist of 15 reps per set. 1st 5 reps will be 2 sec tempo on the way down, 2 sec pause at the bottom and then explode on the way up.
