- Welcome pain! Some are gonna say your crazy, and you would be right. Yet, I have realized that welcoming pain causes you to push beyond your limits. If someone is watching you do something, you try to do it longer, or better even if your in pain, but if your by yourself you& #039 ;ll quit. When pain comes the first reaction is to stop because it might become unbearable.
Think about this... Your brain had to be switched on to believe something was wrong.
So, why can& #039 ;t you switch your brain off to think nothing is wrong at all during pain.
Some people get side cramps when they run, I use to be one of those, but it took me pushing through that pain and telling my brain I was fine, now I don& #039 ;t have those pains.
I use to hear you& #039 ;re fat.
I use to hear you won& #039 ;t amount to nothing.
I use to hear you& #039 ;re to slow
I use to hear you& #039 ;re worthless.
I believed it because my brain told me if I tried that pain would come back of how I felt when I hear those.
In order to overcome, you need to reprogram how your brain processes pain.once you do that is when you can welcome pain.
So when those things are said you realize sharks don& #039 ;t worry about other fish that are not a threat.

- I posted a few days ago that changes are coming, and as soon as I can put thoughts together I will share more.
This was an epic week for me fitness wise, and this is just part of those changes. I joined a gym again on Sunday, and realized just how much I missed being in that environment. I feed off the energy of others, and it pushes me to do better and be better.
Now don& #039 ;t get me wrong, I love that I can also do all my workouts at home if I want to. Yesterday I almost just did my back/bicep workout at home because I didn& #039 ;t feel like looking "presentable" but I needed to run so I sucked it up and went to the gym.
After this week& #039 ;s workouts I am feeling strong, determined, and bad ass!! Sunday: Chest/Triceps & 30 minute run/walk
Monday: 836 stairs (22 flights)
Tuesday: Legs & 30 minute run/walk
Wednesday: Shoulders & 836 stairs
Thursday: Rest day
Friday: Back/Biceps & 30 minute run/walk
Saturday: 836 stairs
My muscles are slowly making a comeback just like me!
The full length picture is a tough one to share. As you can see most of the weight I need to lose is in my stomach. I can& #039 ;t wait for the day where I no longer feel like I am trying to hide my stomach with my clothes.
My 40th birthday is in 189 days and it is going to be an epic one just like this week! My number one goal for my 40th year is to be in the best shape of my life, and feel stronger (physically, mentally, emotionally) than I have ever felt!
