  • This sweat and awesome calorie burn is brought to you by a 42 minute leg day workout in my home gym using 15 pound dumbbells and sliders!
    No fancy gym equipment, no need to get ready, no need to even leave the house.

    I hear so many people talk about wanting to lose weight, get in shape, feel strong, be able to keep up with their kids, or just feel empowered.

    And then I hear the excuses...I don& #039 ;t have money for a gym membership, I don& #039 ;t have time, I don& #039 ;t have a home gym, I have kids, after working all day I just want to relax, or I don& #039 ;t know what to do.

    Excuses are just the things we tell ourselves to justify not doing the hard things. I get it!
    I have many days where I have to talk myself into getting into my gym, and getting that workout done.
    I have to remind myself of the following...
    πŸ’— 42 minutes is less than 4% of my day. πŸ’— How good I feel after I am done. Yes, in the moment it often sucks, sometimes it is hard.
    πŸ’— I want to feel and be strong regardless of the number I see on the scale.
    πŸ’— If I can conquer hard things in my workout, I can conquer hard things in life.
    πŸ’— Those 42 minutes are all about me. All the stress of the day is put on hold.
    πŸ’— I am worth it. I can& #039 ;t be good for anyone else if I don& #039 ;t take care of ME first.

    So before you tell me you don& #039 ;t have dumbbells or you don& #039 ;t have sliders or you don& #039 ;t know what to do....I& #039 ;VE GOT YOU!

    You can use your body weight, paper plates, and I can help you with what to do you just let me know when you want to start!

  • The first photo was after HIIT and core work. I think my face says it all!
    Then it was time for legs my absolute LEAST favorite.
    The video of the Buddha squat was the last part of my leg workout. Give it a try and let me know what you think! It may be hard to tell from the video (yes I am breathing heavy as this was the end of my workout) but as you squat down you want to lean back just enough that your glute touches your heal, and then push up through that front leg.

    The thing I am most proud of from today& #039 ;s workout was the jumping. I have always felt like I was too big to do anything that required jumping (but I will run)! I remember the first time I tried box jumps I literally stood in front of the box for an hour. I told myself I could not leave until I jumped at least once. I ended up jumping more than once that day, but haven& #039 ;t really done so since.
    Today I did all the jumps including single leg squat jumps and squat jacks!!
